Enhance Curb Appeal with Picture Windows

Picture WindowsAside from letting in sunlight, windows are also a major part of the interior and exterior décor of your home. One of our favorite ways to enhance the look of the home is through the installation of picture windows.

What Are Picture Windows?

Picture windows are windows without cross pieces that divide the view. They are fixed in place and cannot be opened. You can accomplish a lot with picture windows. They can be installed as a standalone feature or adjacent to your regular windows. We highly recommend the latter.

Sometimes picture windows are installed as the main window with vented windows on either side. One can also be installed above the main window and be shorter in height while having the same width. If you have vented windows side by side, then the upper picture window can extend to the width of both side vented windows.

We also routinely install picture windows just below the ceiling. Much like regular windows, they can also be tempered or tinted to create a variety of looks and styles.

Picture Window Benefits

More windows means more sunlight. This not only helps conserve energy in your home but also boosts your health. Natural light, after all, has been shown in studies to elevate vitamin D levels in the body. In addition, picture windows also provide a nice middle-of-the-road option for homeowners who want more windows but don’t want to fully convert a section of the home into a sunroom.
